Discover MORE within the Sleeping Bear National Lakeshore on your snowshoes. Explore on groomed trails or blaze your own path through drifts of fresh snow. Climb hillsides and hike to your favorite overlook. Snowshoes are extremely versatile and have a VERY quick learning curve for all ages.

The Sleeping Bear Heritage Trail will be groomed for winter sports. The first two portions are now open and have quickly become a favorite among locals and visitors alike! While funding is still being raised for the remaining portions of the trail, these first two portions are open for year-round enjoyment!

The Crystal River and Heritage Trail are within the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore. A Park Entrance Pass, either weekly or annual pass, is required. Passes are available for purchase onsite at all shops operated by the Crystal River Outfitters Recreational District.

Equipment must be returned within business hours.
