Join Us in Lighting Up Glen Arbor
The Crystal River Outfitters Recreational District has become an annual tradition for both families, groups or individuals to join together to decorate a holiday tree in honor of a worthy cause, or to get visitors in the holiday spirit when we light up our corner of Glen Arbor with the Strolling Lights Festival.
The recipient of the 2026 Strolling Lights Festival is LIFT– Leelanau Investing for Teens!
Leelanau Investing For Teens, or LIFT, is a free, out-of-schooltime program for 6th through 12th graders in Leelanau County, Michigan. Beginning in 2017 as a small youth program, LIFT has grown to provide daily activities for middle schoolers at Suttons Bay, Glen Lake, Leland, and Northport Schools year-round. LIFT also partners with Suttons Bay, Glen Lake, and Northport High Schools to support our area’s high schoolers through daily mentoring, homework help, weekend activities, and co-hosting school events, such as homecoming and prom. Whether it’s rock climbing, going to a concert, or sitting down to a puzzle with a teen, we ultimately strive to see all of Leelanau County’s youth experiencing community connection and support.
Strolling Lights Festival Trees are $150 to sponsor and can be purchased via www.crystalriveroutfitters.com. Monetary donations toward “The Giving Tree” can also be made online as well.
