The Recreational District: It’s not just for kayaking anymore!

Those of you who have been visiting Glen Arbor for years may think of “Crystal River Outfitters” (CRO) as the canoe and kayak livery.  “CRO”, in fact, was the original outfitter that started up back in 1994.  But since then, the vision of owners, Matt & Katy Wiesen have kicked the experience up, well shall we say, several notches.

Fast forward some 20+ years and the area now known as Crystal River Outfitters Recreational District (CRORD) includes The Cyclery – all things bikes from rentals, to service to purchase; the iconic M22 store – “M22” and “Love Michigan” branded clothing and accessories; wine tasting – 16 wines and 2 ciders developed by Black Star Farms specially for the M22 brand, and expanded shopping with the upscale resort-wear specialty shop called Coastal.

So what could possibly best next you ask?  Events.

The team at CRORD has developed a host of fun-filled events and activities throughout the District to expand the guest’s experience.  “By adding events, we have added more ways for guests to enjoy the District and Glen Arbor,”

stated co-owner Katy Wiesen.  “We’re excited by the creative opportunities being offered!”
