M22 Spiced Cherry Wine

This early winter has us thinking about the holidays and the tradition of hot spiced wine here at M22 and we may have the perfect solution with a recipe that includes our M22 Cherry Wine.

Did you know hippocras is Latin for wine mixed with sugar and spices, usually including cinnamon and possibly heated?  Mulled wine is a beverage that includes red wine along with various mulling spices, sometimes raisins and served warm or hot.  The origin of heated wine dates back to the 2nd century when the Romans would use the warmed wine to help their bodies defend the cold winters.  Now, mulled wine is a holiday classic and great way to warm up the northern Michigan winters.

Our team at the M22 Tasting Room as created a recipe you’re sure to love that includes the M22 Cherry Wine.  Stock up and give it a try.  It might have you enjoying winters just a bit more.
