Stand Up Paddleboards

Northern Michigan’s new favorite sport has quickly become Stand-Up Paddleboarding (SUP) and Crystal River Outfitters is happy to provide a large selection of SUPs to take on Lake Michigan or on one of the many inland lakes.

We demoed numerous brands of SUPs until we arrived at using NSP boards in our rental fleet. These boards are extremely stable and track through the water remarkably well.

Many people are initially intimidated by the sport, but find it to be much easier than anticipated. It also gives you a great perspective of the crystal clear waters found throughout Leelanau County while virtually standing on the surface.

We are happy to deliver these boards, at no charge, to your cottage or set you up with a trip on the Fisher Lakes which will eventually take you out to Big Glen Lake.

In addition to delivering the SUPs, all rentals include a quick lesson on basic SUPing to ensure an enjoyable experience.

*In an effort to protect the Crystal River, SUPs are not available for use on the Crystal due to the river’s shallow depths.
